Despite being un-drafted he became a three time Stanley Cup Champion who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League with the St Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins between 1980 and 1997.
Born and raised in New York City, he was the first American player to score 500 Goals and to reach 1,000 points in his career. Mullen received the Lester Patrick Trophy in 1995 in recognition of his contributions to the sport in the United States. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2000. Great player - great interview - enjoy!
