He played for 16 seasons in the NHL – 11 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and 5 with the Washington Capitals for a total of 1,035 NHL Games.
He had the unique opportunity to win the Stanley Cup with two of the NHL’s most prolific stars of the past 2 decades: Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, and nine years later with Alex Ovechkin & the Washington Capitals in 2018. He is the only player to win the Cup with both the Penguins and Capitals franchises.
